Go Away Winter Funk

Saturday night Jon and I had some friends over to hang out, drink wine/beer, and I did some hair! Our friends Don and Shannon brought over pizza, and we just sat around talking for hours. We really had a great time! Tara and Shannon tried on all my jewelry, and I was uber excited because Tara bought a piece! Yay!
Jon and I are normally in bed before 10, I know, I know, but seriously we just can't stay up late here for some reason, it gets dark at 5:00. We stayed up until 1:00!!! Wow. You know you're old and married when you say that ;)
I'm so mad I totally forgot to take pictures; that is not like me.

Sunday we spent all day on the couch because I am still not feeling well. I've got the winter funk and it won't go away. So we shut the blinds and I felt sorry for myself, while we watched about 4 movies.

I'm still feeling icky today, but at least the sun is shining!
Jon came home for lunch and we ran to Rewe, about two blocks away from our house to grab a couple of groceries. We wanted a huge salad so we grabbed all the fixins to put it together. We bought some weird lettuce that still had the dirt attached to the bottom of it. I guess they literally pull it out of the ground and sell it like it is. We bought carrots, broccoli, an onion (for me) and Feta cheese. Jon wanted some left over tenderloin on his salad so he heated it up and threw it on the top. I just added some olives to mine. We use the best dressing ever, Salad Spritzers by Wishbone. It is amazing and totally low fat. One spray is 1 calorie! They have nine different spritzers, and they are freakin awesome.

Here are our honkin salads
I made it extra large so we could have leftovers for later

This is really good Feta cheese

Enjoy your Monday

I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. :(

The salads look amazing! I love salad. I'm going to have to try out the dressing you mentioned. I'm pretty bad about using way too much dressing.

Sounds like y'all had a great time with your friends.

Have a great week & get well!

Don't you just love all the great food in Europe? My Fiance is still like a kid in a candy shop.
