The Violin Updo Please.....

I have been to at least a dozen hair shows over the years. Even before I got my license, I traveled all over with my mom attending different shows. It was the show in New York City that did it for me. That was the day I realized I wanted to be a hairstylist. Growing up with a mother who is a hair stylist, I never thought I'd end up doing the same exact thing, but I am so glad I made this career choice. It really is what I was meant to do and I thoroughly enjoy it. I love it because I get to make people look great and feel great! But I also get to let my creative juices flow and let my artistic side show. I miss doing hair in Oklahoma City, working 60 hours a week and barely having time to pee! Even though it was stressful and made for very long days, it was what I loved and enjoyed. I'm lucky enough to have a small business here in Germany and enjoy meeting new clients and friends.

Anyway... back to hair shows. There are some wonderful shows out there. One I recently came across was held in Budapest. Check out these incredible hair creations:

These are definitely interesting to say the least, but fantastic at the same time. How creative and artistic!

I would love to attend a hair show in Europe. It is definitely a goal of mine while I am living abroad.

I have actually been a hair model in a couple of hair shows. One was Toni & Guy and the other was for Big Sexy Hair. Toni & Guy did a fantastic job and I loved my hair! I'm not going to comment on Big Sexy, but it was still a neat experience. When getting your hair cut at a hair show, sometimes it's a little more "out there" then you'd expect. That was my case with Big Sexy. But hey, I'm a hairstylist, and we can get away with a lot more!

Have you ever been to a hair show?? What was your experience?

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!! TGIF!
