Christmas With the Fam

Hello lovely friends and bloggers! How is everyone on this wonderful Sunday??

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!! Our Christmas has been a little crazy, due to "Blizzard 2009." Christmas Eve a HUGE storm came through Oklahoma and dumped loads of snow and ice on us.

A 40 minute drive to my dad's, took us almost three hours!! There is still ice and snow on the ground, and the roads are still a little iffy! And because of the storms our Christmas plans got changed. We had Christmas at Jon's sister's house yesterday, and now we are heading to my grandparents' house to celebrate with them. Silly storm! But at least we are getting to drag Christmas out and make it a little longer this year ;)

I thought I'd share a couple more pictures before we head out:

After the storm......

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I'll leave y'all with a silly picture of our tacky Christmas sweaters we wore for Jon's office party.

Ladies Meeting

Jon's boss put together a ladies meeting yesterday, for all of the women in the office. One of Jon's male co-workers Dave, being his goofy self, asked why the men in the office weren't invited. To which Jon's boss replied..... "if you wear a skirt, you can come."

So of course.... Jon's coworker told some guys in the office to bring their skirts to work today so they could crash the ladies meeting:

and that they did!Jon looks hot in a green skirt, and I love the matching argyle socks!

My husband's got style!

Jon and I will be heading back to the great state of Oklahoma, tomorrow morning BRIGHT and early! I hope to pop in from time to time to say hello and post pictures and adventures of our trip home.

Hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!

Counting Down

Hello lovelies!! How are y'all today on this wonderful Wednesday?? Things are great here at the Adventures of Jon and Steph! Why??? Well, we are ecstatic because a week from now, we'll be on our way back to the great state of Oklahoma! We'll be staying for 3 weeks! and I look forward to every minute of our trip home. We've been making a list of all of the things we want to do and see in Oklahoma. The list keeps growing, and I'm not sure how we are going to fit it all in!! Sadly, restaurants and different kinds of food are what make up most of our list.....but what can I say.... American food is amazing!

We've finally shipped our Christmas presents home to family and I've finally finished all of our Christmas cards, which are ready to be sent home today. I still have a couple more Christmas presents to buy, but I'm waiting until we get back to the states to shop...... it's so much easier. Although, I can just imagine what the malls look like right now and it makes my blood pressure sky rocket! Ah, the joys of Christmas shopping ;)

In other news:

Jon took me on a date last night! To see..........

My husband knows the way to my heart!

It was a fantastic movie, I LOVED it! Highly recommend it! I can't wait until it comes out on DVD, it's definitely a buyer.

I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!

Day Trip to France!

Well hello lovelies! How was everyones weekend?? Ours was great, busy, but fun! And we got to relax some too, which is always a plus!!

This time of year there are Christmas festivals all over Germany, and of course we've stopped by several over the last year and a half. But, we were recently told about the Christmas Festival in Strasbourg, France. After hearing about how great it was, we loaded up on Saturday and headed to France. We weren't sure the weather would pan out for us, but it did! It was cold as all out, but the sun came out a couple of times, which was SO nice.

Here are some pictures of our day trip to Strasbourg:

We really enjoyed Strasbourg and the Christmas Festival! I look forward to going there again, maybe next time when it's a little warmer so we can explore more of the city. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Have a fantastic Monday!!

I Am Addicted....

To these:

I seriously cannot get enough of these.... I try to pace myself, but before I know it I've almost gone through the whole bag. Seriously, they're like little pieces of Heaven. So delish! I fell in love with them back in the states, and now they are everywhere here. Of course, Haribo Gummy Bears originated in Germany. WHY ME! There are also GUMMY BEAR stores, where they only sell gummy bears and other gummy candies. It's ridiculous. I cannot get away from them, but then again, I don't want to ;)

I'm also addicted to chips..... any kind will make me happy, but I feel better eating Gummy Bears because I feel that they're not as fattening as chips. However, eating the entire package probably negates that fact!!!

What are your addictions?

Festivites and Festivals

Well hello lovely bloggers! How was your Thanksgiving? I hope you all had a blessed holiday and it was spent filled with family and friends. Even though we are away from our families, we were so blessed this year to spend Thanksgiving with friends. It was a wonderful time!

Our cousin Matt just returned from a tour in Iraq and was able to spend all day Saturday with us, so I made a huge Thanksgiving lunch for him. We were so thankful he was able to spend the day with us and thankful that he made it back from Iraq safe and sound.

There is a huge Christmas festival going on right now in our town so of course we took Matt to see the festivities and to drink some Gluwein.

The Christmas Festival

Drinking lots of Gluwein, as you can see by my purple teeth! ;)

Pretty ornaments they had for sale.We are so glad we got to see Matt and spend some time with him!

We also had a chance to put up our Christmas decorations this weekend. We went to a tree lot, picked out a great tree and decorated it together. This is the third year in a row that we've decorated together so it has become a tradition. And every year I get to put the star on top of the tree ;)

2007, 2008, and 2009

A BIG THANKS to S&D for having us over for Thanksgiving! It was wonderful!!

I hope you all have a fantastic Monday!
