Cleaning Like a Mad Lady

Today I am tackling the things that need to be done to this darn house. I don't know what it is about Europe, but I swear things get dustier over here. I feel like I clean all of the time and the next day, there is a layer of dust on everything! Weird.

I've got like 18 loads of laundry and my "awesome" German washer and dryer just aren't cutting it ;)

You think my house would be clean with us not being here for two weeks, but it's a mess!!!

My brother comes tomorrow, (ECSTATIC) and not that he cares what my house looks like, but I still feel I've got to have it looking great. He wouldn't care if it was a pig pen, we'd all still have a grand ole time.

Amsterdam
We were thinking about taking a weekend trip to Amsterdam. From pictures that I have seen and having read a little bit about this city, it looks beautiful and is obviously very interesting.

Has anyone been?
If so can you give me ideas on what to see?

We want to see Anne Frank's house
There's the Van Gogh Museum as well as several more to see
The farmers market and flea markets are very popular
And of course the canals

Any others ideas???

Thanks to all who entered the giveaway.....
I am so excited about it! I can't wait to see how many people enter and who wins!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

I know exactly what you mean about things getting dusty. I swear we sweep everyday, but yet there is always more to sweep. I miss our old washer and dryer. It seriously takes about 4 hours for one load of clothes with washing and drying. Ah..the joys of Europe!

I'd love to know what you find out about Amsterdam, Sean is really wanting to go there.

I agree things get so dusty here! And you can only fit like 2 pairs of pants in the washer!
Have fun with your brother!

I wanted to go to Amsterdam, but it never happened. I was thinking about trying to squeeze it in, but just ran out of time. My friend is going this weekend with her aunt, but I would love to go to the Anne Frank house and the Van Gogh museum and frolic among the tulips!

Have fun cleaning. I usually feel the same way when we have been gone. Praying that your brother makes it there safe!

I've been and didn't like it. It reminded me of Venice with its smelly canals.

If you're going north try Sweden or Norway or Denmark. It's not a weekend trip but so worth it.

I agree ... no matter how much you clean it always seems to be dirty again right away ... I feel that way about my floors! Our whole house is hard wood and no matter how many times you sweep, there's more dust, etc on the floor!

I've never been to Amsterdam but I'd like to!

I can't even tell you how jealous I am that you can just go to Amsterdam for the weekend. I guess we have the ability to do that in the states, but with places like Philly or Atlantic City but for some reason, no one really ever does that.

I've been to Europe and I have to say if you want dust move to Bakersfield, California. Some days I think my beautiful furniture is made of dust! And as for laundry when I'm in a pinch and company is on the way I just throw it all in the garage. No you know something about me I don't even tell my best friend. Can't wait to find out who wins the giveaway, hope it's me!

Hi there, I was trying to do a post on my blog linking your giveaway, but for some reason when I click on the sidebar on my blog where I have your name posted it takes me to a place saying jon and step are not registered. I'm new at this, so maybe your have a suggestion before I do my post. Thanks.

Sorry about that last comment, I fixed the problem. I'm embarrased to say it was a typo. Thanks. My post about your blog should be up soon.
