Our Weekly Weekend Update: Paris Style

Whew it's good to be back home! Man, Memorial weekend was uber busy and crazy, but it really was a wonderful time. Paris was amazing and so much better to see during warm weather. The last time Jon and I went, it was FREEZING, so it was nice to be able to enjoy the city in the spring/summer. We packed each day with as much as we could possibly see before we just fell over in exhaustion. We visited the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomph, Champs Elysees, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, Notre Dam, saw the Eiffel Tower at night, the Louvre, and more. For those of you who have been reading for a long time, you know I am a picture taking fool, so be prepared for lots of pictures. (I uploaded over 1000 pictures....) So I'll do my best to make this a short and sweet picture post ;)

Here's Our First Day in Paris

Saturday we headed for France at around 10:00 arriving in Paris at 3:30 at our hotel, (which was near the Eiffel Tower.)

This is a shot from the drive. I love these beautiful fields of flowers in Europe.
Our hotel
The subway is a Godsend.
It was the best transportion throughout the city.
Some beautiful buildings on our walk to the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower, (as if you didn't know)

After walking around taking a ridiculous amount of pictures, we ventured toward the Arc de Triomph. Once we arrived at the Arc, we relived how famished we were, so we walked down Champs Elysees, and stopped at a great pizza restaurant named Vesuvio for dinner.
Pizza and red wine.... the perfect dinner. The sun was setting and the sky was breathtaking, it was the perfect opportunity to take beautiful picture of the Arc de Triomph.

The sky was beautiful Saturday night and there were hundreds of people taking pictures of the amazing sunset. I was so glad we were able to capture such incredible photographs.

After visiting the Arc, we walked down Champs Elysee checking out the shops along the way. After being on our feet all day long we were exhausted, so we made our way back to our hotel and called it a night. We knew we wanted to get a good nights rest so that we could be ready for the next day of our Paris adventure.

Hope you enjoyed day 1 of our trip. There will be plenty more pictures tomorrow!

I can't wait to catch up on all of my blog reading! I've missed my wonderful blog friends! I feel like it's been FOREVER since I've last blogged. I look forward to reading and catching up with you all!

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
