Oh Animal Planet, How I Love Thee.....

Thanks for all of the suggestions on how to get this awful burn to go away! Sadly, I think it actually hurts worse today.... ARGH! Christy said she wanted to see a pic of my burn, so here is one of my back. Obviously you can see that I did not undo the back of my bathing suit while laying out... Ouchie! Can you see the pretty white bow outline on my back!

Yesterday was a pretty laid back day, meaning that I did absolutely nothing all day long. I have to admit, having a television in the hotel room and being able to watch Animal Planet, makes me not want to leave the room! I watched Animal Planet for like four straight hours yesterday and didn't even realize that much time had passed. (This is why we don't have satellite at home, I'd obviously never get anything done, darn you Animal Planet, I love you.)

So today I vow to get out and go to the gym. (that is if my burnt body allows me to move.) Maybe they will have Animal Planet on TV in the gym??? ;)

Last night Jon, Damon and I went to an Italian restaurant in the hotel by the name of Italian Job. (I wonder where they got that name.) It was actually very good food. I had chicken stuffed ravioli with a white wine cream sauce and mushrooms. For dessert Jon and I split Tiramisu, my favorite dessert on the planet. Yum!

After dinner we went to a piano bar in another wing of the hotel where we had a couple of drinks and listened to the music. At one point they played the song from "Music and Lyrics," that Drew and Hugh wrote in the movie, "A Way Back into Love." They had wonderful voices, but it was an odd choice of song if you ask me. (Don't get me wrong, I sang along.)

Since the guys had to get up early we headed back to the hotel to catch some Zzzzz's.

Tonight we are definitely going to the Souk. Caroline (Jon's co-worker) has never been, so of course we have to take her before she leaves Qatar tomorrow. I love the souk, I am so looking forward to going.

I thought I'd leave you with a couple pictures of our hotel room. I really like it a lot, the only thing that I would highly suggest to management is, GET RID OF THE CARPET!

The view from out hotel room
Check out the killer carpet. I do have to say, the bed is great! Very comfortable.
A toilet and a bidetOh and I didn't want to forget, the cutest thing ever.....
the teeniest tube of toothpaste I've ever seen.
The hotel really is great. It's very cozy!

Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday! The weekend is getting closer!

OUCH!! "Luck'o' the Irish" I tell ya.

And for the record, there's nothing wrong with that carpet.

(BTW, they've been playing "way back into love" on the radio here in Taiwan... random, right?)

I aways get that nice little white bow too after laying out:p But OUCH! And yes, that carpet is hideous! I couldn't quite decide what the print was on it? You're like me, I love all things tiny so the tooth paste got a definite "awwwwwe" outta me;) Have run in the Souck? what is that? A little village or market?

Oh, Stephanie.....your sunburn looks so painful. It brings back memories of the time I was in Hawaii. I looked just like that.
I hope you're better soon.

Love the hotel pictures. :) That is the tiniest little tube of toothpaste I've ever seen. So cute though.

Your Italian dinner sounded so yummy!

OMG! Thanks for posting the pic for me! It looks painful and I'm pretty sure you have a tramp stamp that got cut out of the pic. Am I correct?

Second...I HATE Tiramisu! I hope we can still be friends.

Third..You are right about the carpet. It makes me dizzy and I feel like I need to throw up.

Finally...I have a craaazy bidet story that I may post sometime. It's a little on the embarrassing side....I was playing with it and I ended up flooding the bathroom b/c I was laughing so hard while rolling around on the floor. I'm out of control sometimes. I'm pretty sure alcohol was involved.
