It's a Beautiful Day in This Neighborhood

This morning started with watching a man walk down our street, stop by a row of garbage receptacles and out of nowhere unzip his pants and taking a leak. Yup that's right. This guy was not in the least bit modest. I was so embarrassed I turned my head to look away, with a look of awe on my face and my mouth wide open. People walked right past him and it was no big deal for this man.

Oh well, I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go.

A couple of you asked for my salsa recipe so here it is!
Today I used:

4 large tomatoes
1/2 medium red onion (sweet onions are better)

1 jalapeno
1 lime

pepper

garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon sugar

I used the entire 4 tomatoes, jalapeno and juiced 1 lime. I then added pepper and garlic salt until it tasted to my liking. If you like your salsa spicy, use the entire jalapeno. If not use half or keep adding until it tastes great to you.

TADA!

Hope that helps. I'm not great at making recipes. It's all about taste testing for me.

We got another care package today and we were both so excited to open it!

Jon's mom sent us some fun things.
A couple of games and some VERY cool watches!

These watches have two faces on them so we now know what time it is in Germany as well as what time it is in Oklahoma! That is going to help so much because we are always counting backward on our fingers to know the time in OK!
THANKS BRANDII we love our gifts so much. Thanks for thinking of us! We love you!!

Also, we rented Vicky Christina Barcelona last night

I LOVE this movie and am buying it as soon as humanly possible!
It is so good.
Woody Allen is an amazing writer and director.
You should definitely check it out.

Sorry, it seems like my blog is turning into a "what movies to watch" blog. ;) But I just love spreading the word about great movies!

Hope it's a wonderful Tuesday for you all!

Thanks for sharing your salsa recipe ... I might have to try that!! I just had some salsa last night for the first time in awhile and I think I'm going to be wanting it more often now because I forgot how GOOD it is. (And I'm sure homeade would be even better).

(p.s. I don't mind if your blog is becoming a what movies to watch blog, I enjoy the suggestions!!) : )

Yeah, I'm excited to try the salsa recipe. But whatever you do, don't give out the secret guacomole recipe. Save it for the Guac-off!

By the way, where do you get all your cute blog backgrounds and pics? Mine's so plain, I think I need to spice it up a little.

Awesome, thanks! I'll check it out and see what I can do with my blog today. And I may just take you up on that offer if I completely mess it up. Thanks Again!

So what's the sugar for in the salsa?

I've been wanting to see the Barcelona movie, but was resisting because I can't stand Scarlett Johannsen. BUT I was actually IN Barcelona when they were filming it...and well, Barcelona is my favorite city in Europe, so I think I'll have to get over my loathing of S.J. and just suck it up and rent it :)

Funny... I count 6 tomatoes...;) I just made 1/2 a gallon of salsa for my boss. She said she wished she had a swimming pool full with little rafts holding chips. This is as close as she's gonna get.
