Happy New Year!
Wishing you all the happiness, health and many blessings in 2009!
Last night we went over to a friend's house to watch fireworks and bring in the new year! James, whose home we visited, has an amazing terrace so of course we all stood outside watching the fireworks. Germany is HUGE on fireworks. People from the city stand out on their balconies and light them for hours. Ok, maybe not hours, it was more like 45 minutes, but these fireworks were incredible. The amount of people lighting fireworks was insane, and the fact that we were able to light them in the middle of downtown was even more insane. In Oklahoma, they totally don't allow fireworks in city limits! So this was a treat for Jon and I.
Here are just a few pictures from the party. Jon thought he'd wear a mustache to bring in 2009! Oh my husband........

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years Eve!
Word of the day:
wetter - pronounced vetta
In Boston ist das wetter unbestimmbar:
In Boston the weather is unpredictable

Happy New Year to you and Jon!
Looks like y'all had fun celebrating.
I think the word "wetter" is one I might be able to remember. It sounds a little like "weather." :)
My aunt called from Munich at 3 am their time, said they had been setting off fireworks for three hours. And she was very drunk!
Oklahoma is definitely unpredictable! It has gone from freezing to swimsuit weather in 2 days!
