A Fun Weekend!

This week was an extremely busy week, so I was really looking forward to our weekend. I worked some incredible hours and was exhausted by the time the week was over. Jon has been very busy too, getting things together for our move. Saturday some friends of ours put a going away party together for our big move and we all met at the Bricktown Brewery. I am so glad they did because we had such a great time. It was a blast to get together and spend time with them before we leave. We are really going to miss everyone! Here are some pictures from our evening.

Today we met with Jon's family at Irma's in Oklahoma City. They have one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, not to mention the fried okra. (One of Oklahoma's many delicacies!) I just can't get enough! Jon and I ate so fast his parents and Jurrii each had half of a burger left! I guess we really enjoyed our food. Jon's mom joked that she didn't even see Jon take a bite, thats how fast he ate. But we always enjoy getting together with them. Here are some pictures of our lunch.

After we ate, we took Jurrii to the mall and did a little shopping. We received a gift card from Pottery Barn for a wedding gift, so we had a little shopping spree. We have loads of paper work and bills sprawled throughout the house and decided we needed a file cabinet! So today we bought one. It's a sad day when a filing cabinet makes you excited! But we also got a nice picture frame with a large mat so our family can sign it and we are going to take a family picture to put in the frame. Here's a picture of our bright orange filing cabinet!

Next weekend we are having a going away party with our families! I am really looking forward to Saturday, we are having a cookout at my parents house and I absolutely love cookouts. My mom is such a great cook and it will be wonderful to have her cooking one more time before we leave.

It is my last week at LeFringe Salon! I can't believe it is almost time for Germany. We leave next Friday and Jon and I are so excited for our new adventure! I hope it's as amazing as I'm dreaming it to be!

What a fun weekend! I've never heard of Irma's, but will definitely have to try it out when I get my next burger attack!
How very sad I got reading the end of your post... I'm so happy you all are starting a new adventure, but so sad you're leaving the salon!! I'll miss ya!
See you on Thursday for one last cut! :)
p.s. I LOVE your hair longer...too cute!

Looks like y'all had a fun weekend.
It was sad yesterday when Kristen told me she got her hair cut for the last time.
I love the orage file cabinet. I'm surprised Jon went for orange :) being the crimson fan and all.
You guys will have so many amazing memories in Germany. When my parents talk of their early days over in Tripoli, North Africa when my dad was in the service, it's great to hear all the fun, exciting things they did. I really think those were some of their best times.
It'll be nice to be able to keep in touch through the blog. I love it!
Have fun at the cookout!
Love,
Valerie
