Scottish Highlands

Hello friends!! Happy Friday to everyone! I hope y'all are doing great!

I'm just going to jump right in here and show you guys more of our trip to Scotland. After our race on Sunday, we decided to take a tour to the highlands... Definitely a mistake I will never make again. Not that the highlands weren't incredible... It was just the fact that we were on a tour bus for 12 hours and we didn't even get to sit together. I got stuck next to some mean lady from Poland who wouldn't switch seats with Jon so that I could sit next to him. She just kept saying, "NO... WINDOW." Meaning she wanted to sit by the window, so she would NOT move. I guess that's understandable being that the best way to see the sites is sitting right by the window. BUT The worst thing about it was that she SLEPT THROUGH MOST OF THE TOUR! She just haaaaaad to sit by the window to see all of the sites, but this lady fell asleeeeeeeeep! GRRRR.

Oh well, we still tried to have a good time and we actually saw some incredible landscapes and learned a lot about the history of Scotland and got to hear some stories of the actual William Wallace. (From the movie Braveheart.)

Here are the pictures from our tour.

After touring the highlands we stopped at a castle on Loch Ness. I'll leave you with this picture but will be sure to post more of Loch Ness and our boat ride in search for Nessie, tomorrow.

This weekend there is a big festival in our city called Wilhelmstrasse Festival. Pretty much, you just eat bratwurst along with other yummy German foods and drink loads of delicious beer... which is exactly what we're planning to do. We got our first taste of the fest last night and of course, it did not disappoint!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Get out in the sun and enjoy the weather!
HAVE A HAPPY WEEKEND!
